HEXA is an interdisciplinary research project focused on quantum and optoelectronic systems, from atoms, molecules and 2D materials to complex nanophotonic structures.
The project combines theory, experiments and computer-based methods to better understand how such systems work and how they can be used in future technologies, including quantum communication, energy-efficient photonics, photovoltaics, diagnostics and environmental monitoring. Explainable artificial intelligence supports this work as one of the research tools, helping scientists analyse data, predict selected material properties and identify promising directions for designing new materials and devices.
