Professor Alina Sionkowska, leader of the Natbiomed research team within the NCU’s Priority Research Areas, has begun her 4 week internship at Le Havre Normandy University in France.
Working alongside Professor Michel Grisel (Unité de Recherche en Chimie Organique et Macromoléculaire – URCOM), Professor Sionkowska will be studying innovative cosmetic formulations. The research team has already prepared several formulations using natural ingredients, and they have been tested for their stability. Further research will focus on the extraction or raw natural materials and their characterisation. From there, cosmetic formulations will be prepared.
The work done by Professor Sionkowska at URCOM corresponds with the research done by the Natbiomed research team, as well as the overarching goals of the NatBio Priority Research Area.
